Q: iPhone 5c in the UK with O2 keeps saying 'searching...' In the network bit

Basically as the title says, I have an iPhone 5c (White) I live in the UK and I am with O2 on contract, My phone has been saying 'Searching...' In the top left hand corner where my network stuff should be showing, It's been like this roughly the past two days, I've tried Soft resetting it (home and lock button) I've tried turning it off, I've reset network settings, I've reset all settings and I've taken the sim in and out again, I'm pretty much all out of options, has anyone had the same problem or knows how to resolve the issue?

iPhone 5c, iOS 7.1.1, White 5c

Forgot to mention any time I try to call anyone it registers that I've tapped but nothing happens, No one is able to call me, I am able to iMessage but only at home due to being connected to wifi but I cannot send or receive any normal texts.

    Hey there JakeRidge,

It sounds like you are unable to connect to your Cellular service, as it keeps indicating that it is searching in the upper left corner. Seems to me that you've done most of the troubleshooting from the following aticle, but I would try these other steps from it as well:

    iPhone: Troubleshooting No Service

    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4429

    1. Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
    2. Check for a carrier-settings update. Connect to a Wi-Fi network. Then tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, iOS will ask you if you want to install it. If Wi-Fi isn't available, connect your device to iTunes.
    3. Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
    4. Restore the iPhone.

If you're outside the United States, please also follow these steps:

    1. Go to Settings > Carrier > Automatic.
If the phone registers any carrier network, Settings > Carrier will be present.
    2. If the Carrier option is missing in Settings and you're outside of the Unites States, please contact Apple for support and service options.
    3. Set the option for Automatic to off.
A list of potentially available carriers appears after about two minutes. If the device is locked to a carrier, it may connect only to the carrier network to which it is locked. If the device displays carrier networks, then the device is working as expected.
    4. Set Settings > Carrier > Automatic back to on.

If you're still experiencing No Service issues, contact your carrier to check for any network or account issues that could cause these symptoms.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

    All the very best,

    Sterling
