Incomplete Screen Grabs -- How to turn off Graphics HW Acceleration?
Using the Grab utility, my captured screenshots are sometimes missing
objects and text that were clearly visible in the original image(*). I
understand this is because some of the graphics have been generated
via hardware acceleration and those bits aren't retrievable.
Is there any way to turn off graphics hardware acceleration on the MBP?
(*) The latest case was an image of Jupiter with its moon, Io, hovering
in the foreground, generated with Celestia. The output from Grab shows
Jupiter, but Io is completely absent as is the text overlay that is present
in the original.
