hi 🙂

So I did some reasearch and bt notifier doesnt exist for ios, HOWEVER I did search uwatch in the app store and what I found was that there's an app called Trakdot which is suppose to connect to your U8 smartwatch. I havent purchased my watch yet, because I had to make sure there was an app for ios. Though you can try the app and sync it with your watch and see how it works out for you. 🙂

Hope I helped!

Some smartwatches (like the Pebble) have a dedicated app that allows the watch and iOS to interact with one another.

If the watch you purchased doesn't have such an app, you will probably not be able to use all the featuers of the watch.

I'm not sure what BT Notifier does so can't really say if there's an iOS equivalent.

There is a Trackdot Uwatch App in the App Store, but the problem is...It doesn't work. I downloaded the App from the App store and tried it, but it doesn't even recognize my Uwatch. I researched some videos online and found out that you don't need the Trackdot App to sync your Uwatch to your I-phone. 1st make sure the blue tooth feature on your Uwatch is on, then go into settings on your I-phone and turn on your blue tooth. You should see " BT Watch " listed, then click pair your device. If you're one of the lucky guys with the lucky watch..Then your watch should sync...If you're like me..Then it won't sync; now you'll have to find another option.....Hope this helps...

I've read, searched, watched but nothing can make my Iphone 5S iOS 8.2 connect with the U8's notifications, camera and music! There is no app to download as they say, maybe for android or something, but iOS not yet!

Ah, another thing i've realised at least between my devices... when i connect from the watch to reach the phone i can not get the iphone sounds/music playing on the watch.. but if i connect from the iphone to reach the watch then i can hear the iphone's alerts sounds and music! sad or amazing, huh? hahahaha anyway i hope someone comes with a solution for that coz it's *****, however it's a nice watch even being the china's cheapest! lol

Curious...Lumberit...Which model Iphone do you have and what IOS are you using?... U8 claims that their watch will work for Iphones 4 and newer. But according to my research; only customers who have later model iphones ( Iphone 5 and newer ) were able to sync their phones to the watch. I have an Iphone 4 runing on IOS 7 and I wasn't able to sync my devices. From what I can tell; if you have an Iphone, you have about a 50/50 shot of getting your device to sync with the watch. If you have an Iphone 4 or 4S your chances are slim to none in getting the devices to sync regardless of whether you're operating on the most current IOS or not. If you have an Iphone 5 or newer, it appears that your chances are better in getting the devices to sync....So anyone out there who has gotten their Iphone to sync with the U8 Smart Watch; I'd like to hear from you...Can you tell me which Iphone you were using and what IOS you were running...Thanx.

Unfortunately that Uwatch app has nothing to do with the U8. I have a JB iPhone too but haven't been able to fully make it work with the U8 because there simply doesn't exist an iPhone version of BTnotifier (yet). No idea if it will ever be made.

My solution was to sell the U8 and order a Weloop Tommy, which (imho) looks better and does have a dedicated iPhone app.

So I found a short, vague video on YouTube. If any of you have a U8 or UWatch smart watch, what this guy does at 0:34 in the video is what you need to do to sync them. I've been looking for weeks and couldn't find any answers. I watched the video about 10 times before I caught on. Good luck and let me know if it works for any of you!

Hello AngusW and others. I just started using an iPhone 5 recently (about 2 weeks into it) and updated to the latest iOS 8.2 which fixed a number of issues with 8.1.3 and previous versions. I then purchased a UWatch U Terra. I am really excited about using this with my iPhone and Hopefully this is similar enough to other UWatches like the U8 UWatch. My experience so far (just got the UWatch today):

* Out of the box, the UWatch will control the phone's call and answer functions, allows sync with the phone book contacts, allows music to be played once the player is enabled on the phone...that's about it.

* After some examination of various help information on the Apple website and various forums, I figured out that if I enable SMS messaging on the iPhone under settings-Messages-"Send as SMS", then I do get notification that a message has been received by the phone...one little thing done!

* After another couple hours of persistent searching through the internet, I ran across an obscure message from a chat forum and on the www.gearbest.com website that sells similar UWatches: go to the App Store and download/install "Mediatek Device". This application looks as if it just enables workout tracking data to and from the watch and iPhone, but it ALSO enables SMS messages to appear on the phone so they can be read. There seems to be some functional issues with the message app on the phone retaining these, but at least they are notified and can be read without having to get out the phone!

* The Mediatek Device App also enables the control of the iPhone camera once the camera is turned on at the iPhone. Shutter control only as far as I can tell, but that's all I really need.

I also played around with the App other people have mentioned called "UWatch" at the App Store. This App has a really good interface, but seems non-functional with my setup...and apparently with most of the other users who have tried it. I hope that the developer can make a few upgrades and really enhance the UWatch experience for everyone.

Hope this is helpful to all. Best of Luck!

Yes this help me, also syncs good to Apple TV Syncs almost automatically, and not bad to wear for a cheap watch. BT Swatch" might update the app in the future, but it serves me well. ✔️ But it does not fully use all functions, but it's good. I got a u8 watch for Father's Day, the watch has some good function, I especially like the lost mobile alert, I don't really use most functions anyway, so I'm quite happy.

I have the U8 watc, bought it from Wish.

Long story short, the phone pairs very easily with my iPhone 5s but the only features that sync are sounds and the phone itself. So that means any notifications you have setup on your iPhone you will hear on the watch, including mail and messages HOWEVER you can't read them. The main reason I bought this was so I could read my messages without taking the phone out of my pocket (yep, lazy!) so this kinda *****.

I tried all of the apps that are suggested in these posts but none work. The one I was most excited about trying was BT Swatch but as soon as I open that app on my iPhone it says "Smart Watch Alert [(null)] Disconnected". The only option to tap is Dismiss. When I try adding a device I basically go through a loop of the previous message.

As for MediaTek, I tried it too. Interestingly enough, it detects two available connections both named Apple TV (I do have an Apple TV). I tried connecting to both hoping that one was my U8 watch and something was just wrong with the naming . As soon as I connect it looks like it may start working but about 10 seconds later it justs disconnects and reconnects, obviously not working there...maybe my Apple TV is walking around without me knowing about it?

After reseting the watch. To my surprise it reconnected (paired) to my iPhone automatically however everything else (time/date/location) reset.

I'd love for this thing to show me my texts and emails. If anyone can get it working with an iPhone please please please let me know!

Alex
