I upgrade my garage band from v6 to v10 and this error make imposible to rec
iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.3)
Error -5000 is an afpAccessDenied-AFP error. It can mean many things.
Do you have any drivers for audio interfaces installed or audio units? Then check their compatibility with GarageBand 10; older 32 bit drivers and audio units will no work:

If you do not have drivers or audio units installed, use Disk Utility to check your system drive and to repair permissions.
