How do I transfer much loved photos of my dead dog from Nokia Asha 300 via usb cable as touch screen is unresponsive
for a pc it says use your file manager - but there's no info that I can find on the web for transfer to a Mac.
Nokia Suite is a pain in the neck -
iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
"Finder" is the file manager on the Mac, is Finder not suitable?
Hello Rack0 - unfortunately not, for whatever reason, the phone doesn't show when I go to Open in Finder and I can find no helpful list of actions to take when I did a search for this problem on google.
probably because the OS is so old :-) 10.5.8
I may have to wave goodbye to the photos or else send in a memory card with the phone to Nokia repair, throw myself on their mercy and ask them to transfer the files before they delete them .......... thanks for relying

I may be mistaken but I think if you are in the US you can take the Memeory card out and take it to Walgreen's or Walmart in there Photo deptartments and get your Photos.
I personally would go Nokia's web site and see if they offer any software that will enable you to retrieve your photo's direct from your camera via USB, they should allow you to retrieve your Photo's into iPhoto.

I'm in Ireland and the photo shops here can't help because the screen is unresponsive therefore the commands aren't being accepted. Supposedly Nokia Suite works on 10.5.8 but when I try to install it to use my USB cable, a message comes back saying it's unsupported on my device ............. - we don't have any Mac shops in this neck of the woods, so I figure I'll have to wait till I can get to one.
