I Must Be Missing Something

I am trying to make sure that everything is updated and current - I have a iMAC 10.7.5 - iphone 5c and ipad mini

I am having a problem checking my Brother printer to see if needs to be updated - - and cannot send email on iphone or ipad - -

I have been on computers since black and white monitor days but finding these iitems other then iMAC not enjoyable . I guess just having retired and use to IT - I just don't want the items to sit. Thanks

iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular (MM), iOS 7.0.4, Also have iMAC

What specific errors do you receive when trying to get mail? Did you try entering password again?
