Web designing software like Microsoft Frontpage

I am not a professional web designer still I designed and optimised my website using Microsoft Frontpage, but since i started using Mac OS i didn't find any thing as easy as Frontpage to design websites. I checked out RAPIDWEAVER, DREAMWEAVER (WHICH DIDN'T EVER STARTED), and one other APP, Also Microsoft has not updated frontpage after 2007. I heard about iWeb, but that was also discountinued, and I was unable to get that. So I am still looking form a App like Frontpage....Maybe someone has somthing to help me out.

Dear Allan,

Thanks for your input, I tried to download MUSE but adobe Creative Cloud seems not working, and i personally find adobe softwares a little hard ro understand, as you will agree that FRONTPAGE was a software which a person with Good knowlege of WORD could work on easily, anyways I will try to use MUSE CC and maybe get back soon.

My two complaints about FrontPage was the atrocious code it generated and the fact that it had a Microsoft look and feel to it. I don't think there is any middle ground to the MS GUI, you either love it or hate it. I am in the second camp.

During the years I was assigned web design as a secondary duty, I started out using BBEdit and then as the project grew I switched over to DreamWeaver and FireWorks.

Agreed Allan....After using MacOS (for last 16 months), it's hard for me to use Windows OS....even Win 8 feels like ages slower than the OSx. but as a layman who needed some static pages with text and hyperlinks....still can't find replacement to Frontpage.

It is not quite true to say that Microsoft Frontpage has not been updated since 2007. Microsoft Frontpage was replaced by Expression Web, which as far as I could see was a lot better.

Anyway, take a look at EverWeb at http://www.everwebapp.com. This might well be a good alternative to iWeb. It is very like iWeb in look and feel and has lots of things built in as standard that iWeb could have done, such as a contact form, SEO, drop down menus and PayPal integration etc.

Take a look at this and it will be easier to use and not as expensive as Adobe Muse.
