Ipad Air went into recovery mode and wont restore

So I receieved an Ipad Air from my college and Ive had it about a month. Today as I was using it it shut off I assumed it was dead and kept it on the charger for about 30 minutes, I realized it still didnt turn on so I realized it went into recovery mode I connected it to my pc and tried to restore it but I keep getting a bunch of different errors. Ive tried holding the sleep and home button and ive tried holding the home button as I plug in my cord. I called apple support and the lady had me repeat it over and over we got disconnected and im still at this going on four hours. I really need this fixed before class monday please any advice or suggestions

Force your iPad into recovery mode as described here. You may have to try this more than once to succeed.

I've already done that numberous of times and when I get to itunes to restore it, it starts but than stops and gives me an error message

Hello I have the same problem and the error is . the ipad could not be restored. an unknown error occurred(4005) Thanks in advance!!
