Jun 8, 2014 11:16 PM in response to Comecresby mpl2014,I was on 7.1.1 and had the same problems. Iphone 5s got hot and was draining in 4 to 5 hours. Restoring from back-up and resetting (pushing home button and on/off switch), did not solve the issue.
What did the trick for me was a restore to factory settings with the 5s connected to iTunes (cable). It first sets up like new iPhone, reloading and installing that latest firmware. This is then followed by a restore of your back-up if you one.
It is like new! All issues solved and it is also more responsive.
Now with all default features switched on it was 100% when I went to sleep and still 94% in the morning.
It appears to me that an update sometimes goes wrong leaving the 5s still working but causing strange behaviour under the hood.
Hope this helps

Jun 9, 2014 12:39 AM in response to Comecresby modular747,It is normal for the phone to get quite warm when using graphics-intensive games and some GPS navigation apps. As long as it doesn't overheat and shut down, this isn't a problem.
