Indesign CS 4 on Mavericks 10.9.3

how to install java SE 6-Runtime on mavericks 10.9.3 in order to use indesign cs4?



Hi, I updated my mac mini from 10.9.2 to 10.9.3 by installing 10.9.3 completely new.

After reboot Indesign won’t start asking for Java SE 6-Runtime

The insallationskript failed due to network error


What to do?

Normally, if Java 6 is missing, then you will told that it is required and offered the opportunity to download and install it. When do you get this "network error" -- at the download stage, or some other point?


You can downloade Java 6 from Apple directly here:

http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572


There is no reason to do a clean install for a "point" update (e.g: .1, .2, .3.) Just run the updater on your existing installation. Did you re-install CS4 from the Adobe installer?
