Purchasing multiple ipads.

Is it possible to receive a discount on a bulk order? I am the president of our school's PTA, and we are looking to purchase 50 ipad minis.

Apple does offer quantity discounts to schools, and I believe that PTAs do qualify for educational discounts. If you're in the US, call 800-800-2775 to speak with Apple Education inside sales, or if you know your school district's Apple account executive contact him/her, and discuss what sort of discount they would offer.

As varjak posted you should be able to get educational discount

You should also look at DEP VPP and a MDM solution if you haven't already done so

DEP is device enrolment program, if you're in a country that DEP is supported it makes enrolling devices easier

VPP volume purchase program, bulk ios app purchase and management

MDM mobile device management, there are a number of free and paid solutions

MDM allows remote management of ios devices

imo your better off starting out with all the above in place . It may sound complicated but in the long run it will save time, man hours and issues iTunes account management .if you don't have something in place it can get very complicated quite quickly

You're going to also have to be careful with find my iPhone, if you allow users to configure find my iPhone you could find yourself locked out of the device because of ios 7 activation lock
