If you are in certain countries such as UAE and Saudi Arabia, Facetime is prohibited and is not included on devices purchased in these countries.

Yes, which is why we'd like to know if other sound-enabled apps, like the Music app or podcasts app for example, play sounds okay? Have you tried any other sound apps?

Sounds like a speaker problem then, it's not Facetime it's any sound-producing app that doesn't work. What model iPad is it? Did it used to make sound okay or is it a new iPad that has never produced sound from its speaker?

So you've tried a reset - i.e. pressing the Home button and the sleep/wake button and holding them down until the Apple logo appears, then releasing them while it reboots?
