Help Please, Ipod classic (6th Generation) Won't show up on my Computer

Hey for a long time I have had an Ipod touch synced to my Itunes as my primary Ipod. I recently bought a 6th Generation 120 Gb Ipod Classic because I wanted more space. When I first got it I plugged it in and my itunes recognized it and proceeded to sync my whole library. A day later it worked again, updating some new songs that I just downloaded.

After that I plugged my old Ipod touch in to charge and that also recognized fine but since than anytime I have tried to plug the classic in it not only doesnt recognize in Itunes it also doesn't charge or show up anywhere on my computer.

I have tried 3 different usb cables and they all don't work on my classic but work on my touch and I have also plugged my classic into my brother's computer and it chargers there and is recognized by his Itunes.

I have never come across something like this and was wondering if anybody had any ideas how to solve this problem. I have also tried restarting the Ipod and computer. Thanks in advance

iPod classic, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

And if you are using a Windows computer:
