If you have a backup that you created prior to using CleanMyMac, now is the time to use it. For Time Machine, boot OS X Recovery, and at the Mac OS X Utilities screen, choose Restore from Time Machine Backup. Choose a date preceding the installation of CleanMyMac.

If you do not have a backup, create one now, verify that it is a viable backup of your essential software and files, then erase your Mac completely, reinstall OS X and your essential software. When you reinstall your essential software, you must do so from their original sources, not from a backup that may have been corrupted.

Using CleanMyMac2 to remove files and components of files it considers "junk" will corrupt a Mac. Nothing less than erasing your Mac and rebuilding it from the ground up will undo the effects of having used it, and its developer's instructions for uninstalling it are not completely effective.

I know no other way to recover from having used it other than these recommendations.

After reinstalling OS X and your essential software, invest in more memory. Your Mac can address as much as 8 GB. Mavericks will run in 2 GB but you are not likely to consider its performance acceptable. Consider 4 GB a more realistic minimum.

It may be that you used CleanMyMac only to clean caches. In that case it is possible that it did not harm the system (although cleaning caches is counterproductive, it is not really harmful normally). All other actions with CMM are disastrous.

If you have ever used a keygenerator for some software (for example Adobe) or a torrent downloaded software, that would be another reason for a clean installation.

And you need at least 4GB ram, considering the low prices for your model I suggest to install 2x4GB.

Whether you choose to start 'met een schone lei' (@John: this is dutch, meaning 'a clean installation') or clean the system as is, is your choice.

When choosing what not to have installed, I propose not to install

-CleanMyMac (of course)

-any Huawei drivers

-Java (sort of built-in already in Mavericks)

-Macfuse

-Chrome: if you want another browser than Ssfari, use Firefox or Opera, both very fast but not leaky and unsecure as Chrome

-Simble

-AdobeResourceSynchroniser

-I don't feel strongly about veoh webplayer...

-I am not absolutely sure that you need windows keyboard drivers (zte) to use that keyboard.

Then I propose to remove all items from SystemPreferences->Users&Groups->LoginItems, use the minus sign for that, start apps when you need them and quit them when you stop using them. The only one that must be in there is the IJscanner driver when you have a wireless canon printer/scanner.
