Antivirus blocking adobe flash download

I went to the adobe site to download it and when I clicked on the download button it took me to the download page for about 1 second before sending me back to the original flashplayer page. The original page says I may need to disable antivirus software in order to download the application. I don't know of any to disable. I've never had this kind of issue before. Has anyone else experienced this? What was your fix? Thanks.

Well according to the report you don't have any AV software installed.

Is this the site where you are attempting to download from

http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

If not, try this one and see if it works.

Only thing I can see from the report that I don;t like is that you have not configured backup. That is dangerous to run without having your data backed up.

Zylon118,

save the indented lines below in a text file, e.g. download.uu on your desktop:

begin-base64 755 download_flash_player
OgpjdXJsIC1vIH4vRGVza3RvcC9pbnN0YWxsX2ZsYXNoX3BsYXllcl9vc3guZG1nIGh0dHA6Ly9m
cGRvd25sb2FkLm1hY3JvbWVkaWEuY29tL2dldC9mbGFzaHBsYXllci9wZGMvMTMuMC4wLjIxNC9p
bnN0YWxsX2ZsYXNoX3BsYXllcl9vc3guZG1nCg==
====

After it’s been saved, open Terminal and run the following commands in the Terminal window:

cd ~/Desktop

uudecode download.uu

./download_flash_player

Do these commands let you download the offline Flash Player installer?
