WiFi not working after Mavericks Migration

This problem has been discussed a fair bit...but my exact issue is not quite addressed. I have pretty much the problem dicussed here:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5470945?answerId=23500033022#23500033022

Thing is...when I go to my /Library/Preferences folder...I don't see any of the plist files mentioned in this thread. I do not have

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist

Also...when I open up system preferences and, click on "WiFi" and then "Advanced"...I see nothing in the prefered server list. If I hit the "+" button and add my network...System Preferences hangs and I have to force quit.

Do this:

1. Boot into Safe Mode (hold down the shift key while the computer boots up)

2. Go into System Preferences --> Network and click on the bottom button "Assist Me"

3. Create a new location. Choose your Wifi network and password.

4. Reboot

...also did not work.

Otherwise, my network is working fine as my other machines are able to access wifi no problem.

Help??

For the benefit of future searchers...I will answer this myself. I went to the Apple store today. The plist files I needed to trash were not in the hidden Library directory. They were lthe Library directory located under the Go menu in the finder labelled "Computer" :

Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/System Configuration/

Once I blew away what was in that folder, emptied the trash, and restarted...all was good.
