Reset 4 digit system lock Pin code

Hi,

I recently had my macbook stolen. And while the theif had it they were able to wipe everything off of it and set up their own passwords and stuff. Luckily the police caught them and returned my macbook to me. however I guess before the police caught them they locked the macbook, with what im assuming is the find my mac app, and now when it boots up it is asking for a 4 digit system lock pin code, which i obviously don't know. is there anyway to get around this?

1. Police could not caught them using iCloud location, because just like you sad, they changed the trace of yours iCloud.(Unless somebody was holding a flashlight while styling you mac)

2. format hd in recovery mode if EFI pass disabled

3. wanna see data content of hd, install os x on external drive, then boot that drive, and from there get the access to the locked drive.
