Q: Don't remember security Q's, and "rescue email" isn't working.

All I wanted to do was buy an album yet here I am almost an hour later trying to fix this bullcrap.

I recently started using a seperate itunes id (I used to share one with my family) that I created a while ago and since this is the first time I'm actually using it it is asking me to answer security q's and I honestly cannot remember what my answers were for the life of me. I tried to reset them using my "rescue email" but I have recieved nothing after about 14 tries. I attempted changing my alternate email, figuring that would change my rescue email, but I soon found out it would not. I am stuck not being able to change my security q's without my rescue email, and a rescue email that won't recieve and can't be changed. Now my account is locked and I've wasted time I could've spent listening to my new album had apple's purchasing process and customer service not been so atrocious.

I must say, this whole thing has really turned me off from apple and while I was considering switching to iphone after years of dedication to galaxy I'm not sure I want to anymore.

$5 and the biggest hug you've ever seen to ANYONE who can help me fix this. I will be eternally greatful.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.

They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

have a Rescue Email to use this option.

         3. This is the only option if you do not already have a valid Rescue Email.

I realize I can reset the questions, it's the rescue email I need to change. I wouldn't be having this problem if I could change the rescue email because from there I could change the security questions.

I'm not an idiot. I understand the importance of the security questions.

Ok, so am I just stuck in limbo? I can't change my rescue email unless I change my security Q's, and I can't change my security Q's unless I change my rescue email???

It isn't possible to change the rescue email without supplying two of the answers; if someone could, it would be a way of bypassing them. Only Apple can resolve this issue.

So basically, the only way this can possibly be solved is by calling apple at a resonable time tomorrow and waiting for an ungodly amount of time on hold?

Apparently, you don't read very carefully since your conclusion is not substantiated. You don't need a rescue email address to reset your questions. But you must contact Apple to do that as outlined in Items 3 and 4.
