How to back up photos with broken screen

Hi! I have broken my iPhone 5s and the touch won't work. I have so many photos of my kids on my phone that I desperately want. Is there a way that I can get them from my iPhone to iPad? I didn't back them up with iCloud because I forgot to do it all properly :(

You can try plugging your phone into your computer, & see if you can import these photos:

I had the same problem, my touch screen died but the phone still received calls, emails etc. but I couldn't access anything or backup the phone using itunes because it asks you to unlock the phone using the passcode first. I tried taking the phone to one of those phone fix places in the mall, and they couldn't do anything to fix the specific problem with my phone (he explained it but I can't remember). I plugged the phone into my Windows Computer and when it recognizes the phone is plugged in, a dialogue box pops up that asks if you want to import pictures and videos. You click import and it will pull everything off the phone and place it in a folder with the date as the name and put it in your pictures or my pictures folder. From there you can access the photos & videos!!
