Installing Aperture without serial
I am trying to install Aperture 1 on my new computer, but I have lost the packaging. How do I install without a SN?
MacBook Pro, iOS 7.1.1

Do you still have Aperture on your old computer ?
Launch it and use the command from the main nmenu bar: Aperture > ABour Aperture.
It will show you the serial number.
Did you upgrade Aperture on your old computer to APerture 3.5.1?
Then you now have an App Strore licence for Aperture. In that case you should be able to download and install it from the AppStore on your new computer from the "Purchased" tab for free.
I do have the old computer, but the screen is broken.
Is the new computer running Mavericks? If so even if you got Aperture 1 running it would not work very well with the new OS.
To upgrade to Aperture 3 will cost you as much if not more then just going to the Mac App Store and buying Aperture 3.5.1, the latest version.
Honestly I can see no advantage to you in trying to get Aperture 1 running if the new system is Mavericks.

Yes, they're both running Mavericks, and I don't want to upgrade. I don't really use Aperture anymore anyhow.
Could you borrow an external monitor? Or start your old computer, if possible, and try to access it over the network with screen sharing.
Alternately, apply for a replacement serial number:
ok, Thanks!

I missed the Aperture 1 part, sorry.
Aperture 1 will not run reliably on 10.9. Make sure you have backups of your libraries if you try this you will need them.
