I'm trying to set up my iphone ibank mobile to sync with with ibank on my mac. when i'm setting up my iphone, ibank asks for the url?

That is if you are using WebDAV.
If you don't know what that is, you aren't using it.
You want to set it up syncing over Bonjour.
Look at page 372 in the user manual here (at the bottom of this page)
