Bought canon wireless printer cannot connect iPad to printer

apple uses a system called airprint. Not all wireless printers are airprint enabled. so first, look at the list in this link, and make sure your printer is on it.

If it is, you are all set. Fire up the printer, connect to your wifi, on the same network as the pad. Check for firmware updates for the printer. There is nothing else you need to do.

If it is not on the list - either take it back and get one that is -

or search the app store for a generic print that may work for you
