Jun 10, 2014 2:16 PM in response to Vallyb1425by XTheLancerX,You can't make the screen go COMPLETELY BLACK with adjusting the brightness settings, it just makes the screen very very dark. It should still be easily visible in a completely dark room though, and continue the process from there. If the screen is actually completely off, maybe try turning on the phone? It may just be powered down. If that still doesn't work, hold down the home and lock buttons for 15 seconds, and see if the apple logo appears.

Sometimes pressing the Home button three times will reset this, If not, try "Managing accessibility features using iTunes" from
