iPhone 5s Screen easily scratched vs iPhone 4s and previous gen

Hi there,

I've used iPhones since 2007 with upgrades at two years, skipping a generation (3GS - 4S - 5S..).

After using the 5s for 9 months, comparing it to my pristine 4S screen,

I see the 5S has developed a lot of minute almost 1" in lenght accross the screen,

everywhere - probably about 30 scratches visible in sunlight or regular light.

Same test applied to the 4S shows absolutely no scratch at all - after TWO years of use.

Since 3GS I haven't used a screen protector on the iPhones.

Did I get a bad batch or anybody else seen something similar ?

Thanks for any info,

George

Oh, should have mentioned that I took, since day one, almost extreme care of them, never dropped or kept in pocket with other things - it doesn't have any screen protector but uses the same company's leather cases since 3GS, from Sena which protects quite well against scratches and dust.

I'm glad to hear though others don't experience the same situation, maybe I'll take mine in for a look - bought it online straight from Apple Store - what options do I have in this situation?

Thanks again,

George

I have an Iphone 5s too and noticed a scratch the other day. I keep it in a pocket by itself in my purse in a case, not sure how it happened. I had the 4s for over 2 years, my husband has it now,and it looks brand new. I'm not happy with how easy this very expensive phone picks up scratches. I contacted apple, they pretty much said too bad unless I want to pay for a replacement. This might be my last iPhone.
