Jun 11, 2014 1:43 AM in response to Gopinath.Pby léonie,iPhoto probably created a new, empty iPhoto library.
Open your Pictures folder and look for your old iPhoto library. Double click it to open it in iPhoto and to upgrade it to your new iPhoto version.
My Photo Library on iphoto is empty after an update?
What iPhoto version did you update from, and which version are you having now?
- If you upgraded from iPhoto 08 or earlier, you need to run iPhoto library upgrader. (iPhoto '11: About the Library Upgrader)
- If your iPhoto library is not in your Pictures folder but on an exetrnal drive, make sure, that your drive is formatted correctly MacOS Extended (Journaled) and directly connected. Otherwise iPhoto may not be able to access the library (This holds for iPhoto as well: Use locally mounted Mac OS X Extended volumes for your Aperture library)

Jun 11, 2014 11:21 AM in response to Gopinath.Pby Old Toad,Is this what you see when you launch iPhoto?
If it's not you're probably looking in your damage library whcih should still contian your photos although not accessable. Therefore try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window.
2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database.
