Is there a way to export a group of contacts from "Contacts" to an CSV or Excel file?

Open contacts. Select all in the group and then export them. One export option is a CSV file.

Actually that is not correct, the options are PDF, vCard or Archive (.abbu file)

But this app (AB2CSV) will export from Address Book or Contacts to a csv file.

You can do it with Automator or you can drag contacts into Numbers. The most recent version of numbers collects more info than the previous.

I've posted how to do it with automator, but I couldn't find anything when I searched for it here.

Easily choose a group, all groups or all cards to export.

Complete control over what is exported and what is the delimiter.
