Contacts saving automatically
How can I stop having my iPhone from automatically saving callers to my contacts list?

When people call my work number its forwarded to my cell phone. My work number and the number the person is calling from goes into my recents AND is also saved to my contacts list.
So at this moment over the last 2 days I have 14 saved contacts with my work number and their caller id number saved as the same contact.
The iPhone automatically saves phone numbers in the Recents list (and there is no option to stop that). It does not save them to Contacts (and there is no option to make it do that). If you want an option to not save them to Recents you could make a suggestion to Apple: http://www.apple.com/feedback/
Is it only happening with calls forwarded from your work number? I sticking with my original answer that there is no option on the iPhone to automatically create Contacts -- while not disbelieving your evidence to the contrary. The only thing I can think of is that your business has an Exchange server that is adding the contacts and then syncing them to the phone?
I'm using a ringcentral number for my work phone so I'm not sure about the exchange server. Even though I've used the number for a few years now its only within the last month that the numbers are being saved to my contacts.
Its not a big deal, just thought I'd see if there was a setting I somehow activated on my iphone that I'm not aware of.
Thanks for your time.
