i'm uncertain of what it is you said you did to remedy the problem. as i am here stuck waiting to watch covert affair. so frustrated, please help!

chmod?!? what is that? i am very computer/mac savvy but i need a little direction. i've tried software updates and everything

Thanks for the link to the chmod process. That fixed my errors too.

Note this error may be linked to trying to share an iTunes library. My library and my wife's were both getting to the 40 GB range and contained mostly the same songs so we eliminated one and put the other in the Shared folder with shared access to gain hard drive space and that is when the download problems started.
