Exchange mailbox groups mail messages into incorrect thread

This seems to be happening across multiple IOS devices.

I have a user that has an Exchange Mailbox synced to his iPhone and iPad bot running iOS 7.1.1.

In his inbox, he has messages that are being grouped into threads that have nothing to do with each other.

When he goes to one of these specific messages, it is showing it as grouped with messages with an entirely different subject and heading and puts it into a thread together.

This seems to be an iOS issue because in his Outlook, and Outlook Web App, the messages are appearing correctly, and were not placed in a thread together.

I've already tried re creating the mailbox on both devices, and it did not help.

I still want to be able to organize messages in threads, I just do not want random messages appearing together.

Thank you for your help!

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
