i rig cant be recognized as external mic after updating to mavericks , it was working perfectly on the previous osx and the irig adapter works with my iphone so its not about the adapter ! please tell me what to do to get this device works with mavericks
MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.3)
Check your settings in System Preferences > Sound > Output
Make sure you have the correct device selected.
I don't believe this is a compatibility issue as I have no trouble using iRig with Mavericks. It shows as an external mic in Sounds > Input.
It could be too late..! But I had the exact same problem and here is how I managed to solve it:
Voila!... It should now have been perfectly recognised by the computer via the headphone's mic and it will now work even if you unplug the headphones from it.
