Is damage from laptop falling off of desk covered by AppleCare?

My laptop fell and did not crack or anything but the bottom seems to be bent out of shape. Where the bottom piece meets the keyboard piece, the edges are no longer flush and the laptop wobbles when set on a flat surface. Right after the fall, the trackpad was sticking out a bit but after being pushed back to the original position it works fine. Also, the screen sometimes flickers colors when viewing video, but only rarely and I can't be sure it was caused by the fall. I would like to know if any damage from an accident is covered by AppleCare, or if it is just problems besides user error that are covered. I did read in the warranty I could find online that problems like cracked screens or liquid spills are not covered. Just wondering if it is a waste of time to bring it into the store for repair if it is mostly a cosmetic issue that isn't even covered. Any help or advice is appreciated!

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.3)
