MacBook Air (6,2): Big battery life problem after installing SMC2.0

exactly like mine !!!! , was mint and had soo much life in battery was so happy, now from full says 5 hours... and drops hard... i dont understand this .... hardware is hardware, I dont see how this update can cause this..

you can try reseting it.... turn off macbook, then hold (left side) shift+control+options+power button down for like 8 secs... then release and turn on, I saw a slight change..... but still I dont know ... will be calling them soon at this rate

dam, did that reset and it went back to 14 hours... then closed the lip and opened again then back at 6hours//.... arhrhhh

its back.... someone from apple told me that things happen in the background for hours after the update.... and that when its all finished doing wat it wants itll go back to full , as now im 91% batt and showing 15.5 hours

Same issue with battery life. I have checked all background process i.e. Spotlight, etc. Nothing is running but before the update had 11+ hours of battery life and now have 5-6 hours. Have tried the SMC reset as well. Anyone else?

it didnt lose anything, its just an SMC reporting factor, its software.

your battery discharge is the same as before, wait for spotlight to finish, can take up to a week depending on time per day in hours of use.

mine starts as 100% 6 hours... but now at 58% im at 4.5 hours..... so many the usage is the same its just the indicator??? who knows.... I spoke to apple online today , they said there is nothing they have logged.... so who knows

Nope, mine is the same. Spoke to apple they said I'd it was a big problem they would know about it so who knows what they are playing at

AFTER the SMC update, spotlight needs to re-index itself, and this causes the machine to radically adjust the battery % reporting for a few days (depending on how long you have it on per day)
