What is a "Clearance Delay" with FedEx

I ordered my macbook from apple.com and it shipped sept 7. It is scheduled to be here tomorrow but the current status has been: "Clearance Delay" In USA since saturday...

Is this normal, will it still come on time, and what does it mean?

Thanks

If this is a message you're getting on the FedEx site for a status, I would suggest you contact them. No one here is going to be able to tell you if it is going to be delivered on time... unless the FedEx guy happens that is delivering it happens to be reading this.

Since I have a little free time...

How can I determine the reason(s) for a clearance delay or delivery attempt?
Select the Clearance Delay or Delivery Attempt link in the Status field, or the Shipment Detail screen. The Clearance Delay or Delivery Attempt screen will list the reason(s) for the delay and recommend actions to help expedite delivery.
