Does fire pit damage my Macbook pro?

I always sit by a fire pit to do work. Will my macbook pro get damaged from the fire? I been doing it for months now and don't see an effect.

The MacBook Pro has a recommended operating temperature range of 50° to 95° F (10° to 35° C).

In reality, if you don't hear your laptop's fans running at top speed trying to keep it cool whenever you use it, you should be fine.
