Will applecare replace my broken charger?

I have the applecare coverage until 2016, and my charger for my Macbook Pro stopped working. I tried everything by making it longer with that second peice holding it certian ways and nothing is working.

I heard that they will replace the charger, but I am not sure if that is true/how to get them to replace it.

My problem is that the closest Apple store is a little more then an hour away, so it really isnt convienent for me to get there with work.

Does anyone know how to figure out if this is true/how to get a new charger through applecare?

Micks77,

your MacBook Pro’s AC charger is also covered by your MacBook Pro’s AppleCare. You can call Apple to confirm that your AC charger will be replaced under AppleCare before making the trip to your closest Apple store to exchange the AC charger. (You could also buy a second AC charger as a backup.)
