Will applecare replace my broken charger?

I have the applecare coverage until 2016, and my charger for my Macbook Pro stopped working. I tried everything by making it longer with that second peice holding it certian ways and nothing is working.

I heard that they will replace the charger, but I am not sure if that is true/how to get them to replace it.

My problem is that the closest Apple store is a little more then an hour away, so it really isnt convienent for me to get there with work.

Does anyone know how to figure out if this is true/how to get a new charger through applecare?

You can also get one sent to you free of charge via UPS with return postage, and then you send back the bad charger for verification.

I got mine within 22 hours and still had a a couple hours left on my battery ! Now that is good service!
