Is there a benchmark for Browser performance?

Hey guys,

a friend of mine is having problems with the performace of Safari and Firefox on her Mac Book Air 2008 (Model).

I deleted the cache.db as suggested in this thread but I am still not satisfied to a hundred percent.

Since I don't want to waste my energy on trying to fix a several years old Mac Book Air, I was wondering if there is a benchmark tool which could confirm that this system is just running at its max capacity and it just is that slow.

I hope I got my point across 😉

Cheers

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Hi Klaus,

that's a start but I'd like to know if the speed of safari (or any other browser) on this machine is as good as it gets and for tha, I'd like to have a benchmark of a similar system accessing the web.

E.g.: Mac Book Air 2009 accessing google with Firefox: 2,6 sec; Chrome: 2,7 sec; Safari: 3,5 sec

Thanks though for your fast reply!

Regards
