when trying to open ibooks it keeps spinning and saying loading...but does not open and I cannot get my books

Can anyone help with my ipad...when I try to open ibooks it will no longer open...just spins saying loading...but does not load....This ipad was my housemates and she gave it to me...we didn't realise we had to clear her ID from the ipad and reload my ID...but this has not caused a problem before now...am just wondering if this could be the reason for the problem...even though it opened fine for months....just grasping at possible straws for problem...

Any help much appreciated...

It won't open because you need to have your housemate sign off her Apple ID before associating the iPad with your Apple iD. Any books purchased from her Apple ID will be deleted.

Many Thanks for your help...we realised that we should have changed ID but was a bit late in realising....but this had not caused a problem before now...have been able to open my ibooks on the ipad for months now...problem has just arizen.....If housemate signs out n loses her books...can they be downloaded.....

We have changed the ID in Itunes...but not on the ipad itself....from what I have read, once we do this and reset all will be gone....my housemate has only a few books which she doesnt mind losing.....but I have quite a few...can they be redownloaded again once we reset ipad
