Q: There is a number that says it's not registered on my iPad and I can't send text messages. I can, however, send messages to this same number on my iPhone. How can I correct this?

1. Messages on the iPad can only be sent to other iDevices

2. The receiving party must also be registered with iMessage

Note: The two above conditions must be met. Also take note that iPad cannot send SMS.
