I can't connect a Windows 7 PC to a Mac OS X 10.5.8 server. Help!

We have some new staff members who will be issued Windows 7 laptop PCs. We have a Mac OS X 10.5.8 server. I was able to connect to the local WiFi network with the Windows 7 PC and therefore can connect to the Internet. Earlier i had created the new staff User IDs on the Mac server and can connect to the network shares from any Mac workstation. So far so good. HOWEVER, I can't map a drive from a Windows 7 machine to a user's folder on the Mac server. We NEED this capability so any assistance is appreciated, especially since I am used to working with Windows servers and workstations. Thanks in advance.
