I am using 10.9.3 Mavericks on my MacBook Pro. I use FaceTime quite a lot, and it has been working fine until this past week. Now it will not connect on the computer, but still works fine on my iPhone. Can someone please suggest a fix?

It says it cannot connect. When I answer I can see the person but cannot hear them and then it disconnects.
When I video call or answer one incoming, I can see the other person, but cannot hear them and then is says it cannot connect and the call is dropped. Thank you for asking!
Does this happen with all callers, or only with some?

Please sign out of FaceTime and sign back in. Test. If there's no change, log out or restart the computer and test again.
Thank you. I had signed out and shut the computer down to no avail, but for some reason logging out seemed to fix it! I REALLY appreciate your help!!!
