3.5 internal floppy disk drive problem

I think I jammed a floppy disk and damaged the connection.
While back, my 3.5 inch floppy disk started jam.
I am thinking replace the disk.
Would you let me know if anyone know what type, what brand, and where can I buy the internal floppy disk.

But my computer turned on with out no problem.
The smiling Mac face shows on the screen but after that nothing happen.
When I insert the original CD, nothing appears on the desktop.
I do not have a problem to restart the computer, using the control + apple + power key, but since there is no other icon, I have to force to shout off; pressing the hardware bottom.

Please someone help me!

Hi, mac gart -

Welcome to Apple's Discussions.

If the internal battery in that machine is old, try replacing it. The Beige/Platinum G3's are known for having boot problems when that battery is too weak or dead.

Once the battery has been replaced, also reset the PRAM -

Are you able to boot the machine to an OS 9 Install CD?

Do you not have an OS installed on the internal hard drive? Note that the internal floppy drive and the internal hard drive are not the same thing.

Thank you so much for the reply.
I will go to a store to buy the battery.
After that I will do what ever you told me, about the resetting the PRAM.

I thought that an installing original CD will help the problem, but I will not do that anymore.

Please check with me this afternoon.

I have replaced the battery and tried Pvram boost as you said but noting work.
After reboost, small mac computer with smilling face is showing up. after that floppy picuture shows on the screen.
After that ? mark is flashing inside of the floppy disk.
Would you please help me to bring up this computer.

Hi, mac gart -

The question mark indicates the Mac can not find a valid OS from which to boot.

Can you boot the machine to an OS 9 Install CD?

I can not boot the OS9 from CD.
I hear the CD is running but now show on the screen.
Just a Mac computer icon is coming up on the screen.

This problem has started when a floppy disk stuck in side of the drive. I forced to remove the f. disk.
Eversince, the drive in no working, so I could not use the floppy disk.

I also can not shout off unless I have to force to shout off from pushing the hard drive light button.
