Pages docs from iPad don't show up on Mac?

I understood with the latest version of Pages that it was actually going to fully sync with iCloud so that I wouldn't have to open my iCloud window and then drag my recently edited docs from my mac to iCloud. Having to drag and drop recently edited documents opens you up to overwriting files, especially if you do most of your writing late at night when you are very tired. The thing I read also said that Pages would now be able to password protect docs. So, I purchased Pages instead of MS Word for the iPad. However, when I created some Pages docs on my iPad, there are NOT showing up on my mac when I open Pages.

Yes, both my mac and pad are signed into the same iCloud account. Yes, I have the latest Mavericks and IOS on the pad. Yes, I have the Documents and Data/Pages button selected on my mac. Yes, the same Documents and Data settings are on in Settings on the iPad and yes, it is checked to use iCloud under Pages where Pages is again listed separately under Settings.

Is this app fully sync-able or not?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.3), 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
