Won't boot -URGENT response needed

Hi Guys,

I can't stress enough how urgent this is. I'm on a print deadline and my Mac has decided to pack up on me.

It just won't boot normally or in save mode. I've booted from the disc to use Disk Utility, which give all my drive the all clear. I've used single user mode and this is the problem it come up against

SystemStarter[99]: execl("/System/Library/StartupItems/NIS/NIS"): Exec format error

mDNS Responder: Adding browse domain local

SystemStarter[161]: execl("/System/Library/StartupIems/metadata/metadata"): Exec format error

It then keeps trying and this is the final repeating message

hfs_relocate:; didn't move into metadata zone

I need help guys. I'm thinking about an archive install?

Thanks

Mac OS X (10.4.11)
