Drag aliases to burn folder, but want originals on CD

Hi all,

I have a folder that contains a set of aliases to jpeg files. The original files are in many different places. I want to burn those files to a CD. Using Finder's Burn, I dragged the aliases to the burn folder, but the resulting CD contains no jpeg files, nor anything else, for that matter.

How can I burn a CD with the jpeg files when I have aliases to those files?

Finder help says it will resolve aliases and prompt if the originals cannot be found. This is not what I see.

I selected groups of aliases that I knew linked to files that were in the same folders, then selected "Show Original" from the File menu. This opened a new Finder window with originals selected, which I then dragged to the burn folder.
