Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Since I upgraded to Windows 8.1, my iPhone 5 is not being recognized as a device in "This PC" (new "My PC" in Windows 8.1). Therefore, I can't access my pictures and videos to back them up to my desktop's hard drive.
Weird thing is that iTunes recognizes it no problem.
Can I get any help?

have you tried to upgrade itunes to the latests version it include the driver windows use to see it as a camera
I had upgraded and it still didn't work.
Found a solution, though: uninstall "Apple Mobile Services" through "Programs and Features" in "Control Panel". Doesn't make any sense, but as soon as I uninstalled it, the iPhone was automatically recognized in "This PC" as a device, and now I can access my pictures and videos.
