Command key on right not working properly

Using an iMac, Mavericks 10.9.3 installed. Have an issue with my bluetooth keyboard. The Command key on the right side of the space bar is not functioning properly. When I press it all the icons on my desktop disappear and the screen around the open window goes dim, the open window moves to the center of the screen and the dock comes up on the bottom showing all the app icons. This is similar to an effect you get by hitting another function key. The weird thing is this only happens when I hit the right command key, the left command key functions fine. Have no idea how this happened but it appeared after troubleshouting numerous performance issues with Mavericks which are somewhat resolved. I reset my PRAM which had no effect. Any idea how to reset just the right command key so it is normal again??

With keyboard viewer open, I hit the right command key and it seems to turn the key a darker shade of grey, however just as I stated the whole screen goes dim and the keyboard viewer flys away and any window open goes to the center of the screen. If I close all the windows then the keyboard viewer flys away and disappears, so I only get a half second to see if the key changes color, which it seems to. The problem is the right command key is associated with another key command in the system. The key works fine it just needs to be pointed at the proper function. Any other ideas? Resetting PRAM doesn't help either.

Would a video of the problem help?

You are correct, Restore Default for All would wipe out all the shortcuts set up by the user.

I should have said, System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Mission Control > Restore Defaults.

Or like your saying, System Preferences > Mission Control and look at the Keyboard and Mouse Shortcuts.

I forget, because I only run on Default Shortcuts 😐

Wow this is baffling. I thought for sure the Mission Control would do it, but here's a screen shot of what mine looks like. Also, I restored defaults on all keyboard categories and it didn't work. 😟

What else could it be, and thanks for trying, there has to be a solution out there.

Here's my screen when I hit the right command key, it's not the same as show desktop expose, it just puts any open window smaller in the middle and hides all desktop icons, raises the dock which is usually hidden. hmmmm

I changed the preference to a couple different things and even turned it off and it didn't work. If I try to change it to the right command key, then it just does the Application Windows function, it won't accept the key input into the highlighted field.

I unchecked all of the options under shortcuts and it still did the same thing.

Is Application Windows set up anywhere else?

Is there a keyboard override I can adjust in Terminal to do a hard reset of all keys?
