Had a lost an iPhone. Pretty sure it was stolen. I have done the Find My iPhone - Remote Erase. Does this make the iPhone totally useless? Meaning, that the people that have stolen the iPhone can't use it or sell it?
It will only erase it. However, if it was running iOS 7 it cannot be reactivated and used without your ID and password, rendering it essentially useless.
The iPhone 4s was running IOS 7. Looks it has done what I was hoping for. Make the phone useless.
Yep. Hopefully it won't be sold to an unsuspecting innocent person as it is just a paperweight at this point.
