I can receive emails but not send them

I can receive emails on my iPad but I can not send them. The message I get is that either my email address or my password is incorrect. Neither are incorrect. Any advice?

iPad 2, iOS 7.1.1

First...

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...

Reset ( No Data will be Lost )

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...

Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...

Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... (But can take Longer..)

Release the Buttons..

If the issue persists... Delete the Email account from your iPad and then Re-add it.

Email accounts require an incoming server (POP or IMAP) and an outgoing server (SMTP). For the usual account types, this is usually set up for you but sometime you need to do it manually if something goes wrong, or if you have manually set up a lesser know email service.

This should help you, but you will need to know the SMTP server of your email provider: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4519?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
