PSP and Mac OS X

So I got a PSP recently and I was super excited. I noticed one curious thing, when pluged into my PB, the PSP was not recognized and nothing poped up as being newly mounted, etc...basicly nothing happend, yet on the PSP, it read that it had an active USB connection.
Im in the middle of email tag with Sony Customer support, but I was just wondering if there was anyone else that might have/had this problem. and whether its just a matter of downloading the right drivers, which is what Im starting to think is what the problem is.
