I am using GPT fdisk (or gdisk).

I don't remember all that I've tried to do, but the changes that I had made were: changing the 4th partition's id to 07 (then because of a confusion, the 2nd partition's id to 07). That's it.

Are you using gdisk 0.8.8 or 0.8.9? Christopher has noted an issue that you may want to be aware of.

Can you please post the output of gdisk -> p(rint) (or gpt -vv -r show rdisk0 )?

I am using gdisk 0.8.1.0

After typing setpid 4 I can't type flag : 'flag' is not a valid number.

did I do something wrong?

It may ask you for the type of partition.

sudo fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0

Pardon me if these are dumb questions or basic knowledge stuff, but: I need to add a partition number after flag, do I put in 07?

flag 04. (I should remember the syntax.)

fdisk: 1> flag ?

Invalid argument: flag <partition number>

Dude!!! I put in flag 04 then pressed w but it told me it needed a reboot. So I rebooted. BUT NOW I CAN'T EVEN BOOT INTO MAC!!!! I'M AT THE WHITE SCREEN WHERE THE APPLE LOGO SHOULD BE ON STARTUP, BUT NOW THERE'S JUST A CROSSED CIRCLE IN THE MIDDLE WITH A SMALL LOADING ICON AT THE BOTTOM!!!

PLEASE TELL ME YOU CAN HELP ME FIX THIS!!!
